For removal, the WIS originally suggests a removal tool with part number 8293474, but a simple narrow putty knife will also suffice.
Important! To prevent the vents from breaking, never pull the adjusting buttons. Make sure that the correct catches are bent in. The catches which hold together the vents can also be seen through the grille.
Step 1
Carefully press the putty knife between the panel and the air vent so that the air vent is tensioned.
Insert a small screwdriver diagonally into the fourth hole from the right and gently lift one of the air vent’s securing clips with its end (A), while maintaining continuous pressure with the putty knife (B).
STEP 2
When the air vent has loosened slightly, perform the same operation on the ninth hole from the right with the second securing clip (C), again maintaining continuous pressure with the putty knife (D).
STEP 3
Now, push the putty knife into the upper edge of the grille (E) to release the upper tab. Grip the edges of the air vent and detach the third lower clip by inserting the screwdriver into the fourth hole from the left (F). While pressing down the screwdriver, simultaneously pull out the air vent.
Finally, an interesting solution using bank cards.
