INSTALLATION
Method no.1
Plug & Play installation by CD Changer connector in the trunk (without Hands-Free)
The simplest and fastest connection method. Can be done without special tools.
With this connector, you can usually connect it to all OG 9-3 models, because the CD storage cable harness is installed in the car (even if it does not have a CD STORAGE). The connector is located in the trunk on the left side behind the upholstery.
In the case of the early 1998 9-3, the connector is not found at the factory, in this case it must be connected to the connectors located at the foot of the “A” pillar on the left side with a BT Changer trunk harness.

Method no.2
Plug & Play cable harness behind the head unit (with Hands-Free)
The wiring method is a bit more complicated, because the 9-3 head unit must be removed, which requires a special tool. After that, the topmost (pink) connector needs to be unplugged, and the BT Changer wiring harness must be connected in its place using an inline connection.
For the Hands-Free function to work, it is also necessary to connect to the 18 pin factory TELEPHONE (378) connector.

After installation, the BT Changer module must be configured in Wi-Fi mode and the Hands-Free function must be activated.
Method no.3
Installation by soldering (without Hands-Free)
The BT-Chanert can also be installed by soldering with a little skill. There is no need to cut the wire for connection, it is only necessary to connect it to the cable harness behind the head unit.
Important!
- The three wires coming from pins 1. 7. and 8. of the pink connector on the head unit must be joined, and the grey wire (audio GND) from the BT Changer should be connected to them.
- The two wires coming from pins 3. and 10. of the pink connector on the head unit must be joined, and the yello wire (audio right) from the BT Changer should be connected to them.
- You will be working with several similarly colored wires, which are not interchangeable.
- If the car has a CD changer, its connector must be unplugged.
- Hands-free expansion: If you connect a factory microphone to the wiring harness, the Hands-Free function can be activated. Blue/black MIC+ (pin1), gray black MIC GND (pin3)

Method no.4
Installation by soldering (with Hands-Free)
To use the hands-free mode, the BT Changer can also be connected using a special OG-HF cable, provided that the factory microphone and phone connector are available. The cable is made with two connectors—one for the BT Changer and the other for connecting to the phone preparation wiring. In addition, the CAN wire (green/white) and the audio connection (yellow/orange/grey) must be soldered to the factory head unit wiring.
Important!
- The two wires coming from pins 7 and 8 of the pink connector on the head unit must be joined, and the grey wire (audio GND) from the BT Changer should be connected to them.
- You will be working with several similarly colored wires, which are not interchangeable.
- If the car has a CD changer, its connector must be unplugged.

USAGE
By pressing the CD button twice, you can activate the BT Changer as if it were a CD Changer.
The BT Changer automatically switches to Bluetooth mode during operation, but for exemple by pressing the “1” CD button you can switch back from WIFI mode.
Pairing
A new mobile device can be paired by pressing the “3” CD button. The display will then show “Pairing”. A successful pairing is indicated by “Pair Success”.
Display metadata on the SID
BT Changer can display the following meta data in both rows of the factory SID display.
- Artist: the performer of the song
- Album: the title of the album
- Title: title of the track
- No meta: only the BT Changer text or the custom text on the display
- All text off: remove all text, the factory specifications are visible
By pressing the “4” DC button, you can select the contents of the first row and the “5” DC button you can select the content of the second row. Unfortunately, due to the physical limitations of the factory Saab SID display, only 12 characters are visible. By pressing the “2” DC button, the current metadata scrolls on the SID.
